The world's scariest legends in some places

Places with dark and disturbing histories exist throughout the world. Visiting scary places is all about going to locations where the spirits of the dead still roam the world. Even scarier are those places infested with other worldly spirits that are not human.
Here are some of the scariest legends:

The Screaming Tunnel, Warner Road
A local legend recounts that the tunnel is haunted by the ghost of a young girl, who after escaping a nearby burning farm building with her clothing ablaze, died within its walls. Several variants of the legend exist locally, one version has the girl set on fire by her enraged father after he loses custody of his children after a nasty divorce. Another tells of a young girl being raped inside the tunnel and her body burned to prevent any evidence from being found.  All variants involve a claim that a match struck within the tunnel’s recesses will produce the sound of the young girl’s dying screams, this purported phenomena is alleged to be the origin of the tunnel’s name.

Bessie Little Bridge, Dayton
The ghost of a murdered girl named Bessie Little returns regularly to this bridge on Ridge Street. She was murdered there on August 27, 1896, by her boyfriend, Albert J. Frantz. Bessie was pregnant and Albert didn’t want to have to marry her, so he shot her in the head and arranged the scene to suggest a suicide. For some reason, however, he shot her twice, so it was obvious that she hadn’t done it to herself. On November 19, 1897, Albert J. Frantz #28896 was strapped into the electric chair at the Ohio Penitentiary in Columbus and put to death for first degree murder. Back in Montgomery County, Bessie Little’s ghost continues to haunt the bridge.

Ohio University, America
Wilson Hall, famous for a girl (a supposed witch)who killed herself moments after writing satanic and supernatural things on the wall in her own blood. The five cemetaries that form a pentagram that surrounds the campus, with the administrative building being in the center of the devil’s sign. Washington Hall, which is famous for housing a team of basketball players who all died in a terrible crashm their ghosts still haunt the hall, and you can sometimes hear them dribbling. The catacombs of Jefferson Hall, where numerous ghost sightings have occurred. And finally, for The Ridges, an abandoned insane asylum that was known for thousands of labotamies and electro shock treatments. Also, a patient who disappeared, and was found five weeks later, her body decomposed onto the floor and left a stain that outlines her body. This stain can still be seen today.

Kelly Road, Ohioville, Pennsylvania
A one-mile section of Kelly Road, Ohioville, Pennsylvania is an area that has had numerous reports of paranormal activity and bizarre happenings. Reports say that when animals have entered this haunted stretch of road they suddenly turn from peaceful and quiet to violent, going after other animals and even people. The road is surrounded by dark, thick and creepy forest where white apparitions and noises that can’t be explained have been seen and heard. No one is quite sure why this short section of road is haunted but theories suggest that is could be somehow connected to cult activity that was once taking place in the area and curses that have been put on the land for some reason.

Alcatraz Prison, San Francisco
The island, believed to be an evil place by Native Americans, has seen centuries of death from accidents, murders, and suicides. With this dark history, it’s no wonder Alcatraz is said to be one of the most haunted places in the nation. If ghosts return to haunt the places where they suffered traumatic experiences when they were alive, then Alcatraz must be bursting at the seams with spirits. For years there have been reports of mysterious happenings on Alcatraz Island. These reports come from visitors, former guards, former prisoners, and national park service employees. From the original lighthouse reappearing on occasion to clanging, screaming, and sobbing, there are too many tales to put into this short article. It would definitely take a book to tell them all. Some of the strange occurences are recounted in the following paragraphs. The Lighthouse – There have been several reports that on foggy nights the old lighthouse, built in 1854 and torn down after it was damaged in the great 1906 San Francisco earthquake, will suddenly appear, accompanied by an eerie whistling sound and a flashing green light that makes its way slowly around the island and then vanishes as suddenly as it appears.

Edinburgh Castle, Edinburgh, Scotland
This magnificent castle is typically medieval, perched atop a rocky crag, giving it an amazing vista of Scottish hills. But inside the empty halls and narrow streets of Edinburgh, there are the echoes of the dead. At least, that’s what has been reported. Hot spots for specters include the castle’s prison cells, the South Bridge vaults and Mary’s King Close, a disused street used to quarantine and eventually entomb victims of the plague. There are also reports of ghost dogs, a headless drummer, and the bodies of prisoners taken during the French seven-year war and the American War of Independence.

Omayra Sánchez - She was trapped for 3 days in water, concrete, and other debris before she died.

Omayra Sanchez was a 13-year old victim of the Nevado del Ruiz volcano which erupted on November 13, 1985 in ArmeroColombia, causing massive lahars which killed nearly 25,000. She was trapped for 3 days in water, concrete, and other debris before she died.
Her image was taken by photojournalist Frank Fournier shortly before she died. The image caused controversy due to the photographer's work and the Colombian government's inaction in working to prevent the Armero tragedy despite the forewarning that had been available, when it was published worldwide after the young girl's death.

Omayra Sanchez was 13 years old at the time and lived with her parents, her brother and an uncle. However, prior to the tragedy, her mother had traveled to Bogotá on business. The night of the disaster, she and her family had awakened and heard the sound of a lahar approaching in their direction. In the process of evacuating to a nearby mount, Omaira's grandmother fell into a water aqueduct hole, and Omayra herself stopped with the intent to rescue her trapped sibling, when the flow reached them. Omayra got trapped under her own home's concrete and debris and could not escape. When rescue teams tried to help her, they realized that her legs were trapped.

Omayra was trapped up to her neck in water, concrete, and other debris for three days before she succumbed to gangrene and hypothermia. During three nights of agony, Omayra seemed strong but was suffering. According to Cristina Echandia, a journalist who kept records of the events, Omayra sang and had normal conversations with the people who were trying to help her. The little girl was thirsty and scared. On the third night, Omayra began hallucinating, saying that she did not want to be late for school. At some point she asked the people to leave her so they could rest.
Television coverage of the disaster introduced her to the world when she was still alive. The photo shown here was taken hours before her death and published after her death.

The volcano Nevado del Ruiz is still active, according to the Volcano Watch Center in Colombia. However, at this point no other city or town remains close enough to be seriously affected in the event of an eruption. The only city, Armero, no longer exists and was turned into a memorial of the disaster where only crosses can be seen. A small "mausoleum" exists in Omayra's memory [1]
Omaira Sanchez herself remains in the memory of those who followed her suffering and death. Some local newspapers commemorated both the 20 years of the volcanic eruption as well as Omaira's death, and her case was also mentioned in TV and radio commemorations.
Isabel Allende's "And of Clay Are We Created" is based on these events.

Rest in peace Omayra

Let us pray for her. For she is resting in Lord's arms.

Again I end today's story with some quotes from Status Shuffle

Wonders...what would it be like today if she hadn't died? Would today be different than yesterday or Would it be the exact same?

she...is beautiful, is caring, is hard to handle at times, is sassy, is fun, is smart, is brave...she is my daughter!

when i look at my daughter i start to wonder how i smiled before she came along!

says...I have never had any person in my life I love as much as my daughter. And I would trade nothing for her xx

says I'm not perfect,i may have done wrong, but when i look into the eyes of my daughter as she hugs me.i see perfection and the best thing i did right.

is wondering with all this bickering, messes. toys and clothes on the floor is worth it. Then I hear her singing. I smile to myself ..yes its worth it.

: she's like me in so many way, somehow the good shows though, but the bad is so much more exaggerated. lol That's my daughter! :) The bond and love is forever!

I never imagined this much love until she was born. I'd give her the world if I could & I try everyday. Every time she looks at me I remember the greatest gift.

A sad truth at a beach...

Yesterday, we talked about true love amongst human. Sadly, there are lots of human who are crueler than animals. I must admit everyone needs money. Hye...money is always a scarcity in today's world but please please please find a better to earn money and to breed the turtle. THIS IS SERIOUSLY WRONG!!

The photographs are genuine, but they do not depict the illegal poaching of turtle eggs. In fact, the egg harvest shown in the photographs is a perfectly legal and strictly controlled event that is managed by the Costa Rican government and been in operation since the 1980's. Far from being an "attack against nature", the egg harvest is an integral part of a long term conservation program that has resulted in a significant increase in the successful hatchings of Olive Ridley Turtles. Here is the link. A guy named Brad will fight up every accusation. So, have a nice long chat with him if you are about to disagreed. Live long Brad!!

Alright, so you are saving the turtle..

You are teaching your next generation to act maybe worst than you are now to survived. Future world, humanity is nothing to some people as long as they get what want. Here is the example of a tragic lost to this species on future.

Can you see the mother turtle still trying to hide her eggs?

Imagine you just laid baby taken away from you just in front of your eyes!! How do you feel?
If this a right things to do, please do it after she left to the ocean.
Have some respect please!

All this beasts!! What will they think when its their children being taken away! I would said if that happened, its their retribution!! SERVE THEM RIGHT IF THEY SUFFER THE SAME FATE LIKE THE TURTLES!!

I ended this controversy with quotes from Status Shuffle

Maybe I can't make a difference for all animals, but I can make all the difference for some of them

PLEASE visit your local Animal Shelter. Donate money or supplies, Volunteer, Please ADOPT. Save a Life! They need us. BADLY!

you know when you have a hard day then you come home you can always count on your animals they always comfort you if you don't get some animals and be happy!

You can't change the world by saving one animal, but for that one animal, you change it's  world.

True love is "RESCUED".  Adopt, don't shop!

Sayonara for now!!

True Love Never Dies - A Story of Love by Stephen Uhraney

This essay is called “A Story of Love”, about the unconditional love between a husband a wife, it is the story of Sandor and Anne Marie Papp. Anne Marie has been at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario since 1997 in a coma after suffering a stroke, unable to move or speak, she is fed by a gastrostomy tube. Sandor has been at the hospital and by Anne Marie’s bedside everyday from 10am until 10pm since his wife was admitted and has not missed a day. Often he’ll spend the night sleeping in a chair if Anne Marie has had a particularly rough day. She spends most if not all of her time sleeping. Sandor along with the nursing staff have become her primary care givers. Sandor assists with providing care such as bathing Anne Marie, brushing her hair, putting cream on her skin to avoid her getting bedsores and checking her IV bags. At around 3pm everyday Sandor gets Anne Marie ready for a walk around the hospital, putting her stockings on her, brushing her hair, putting her slippers on her, then with the help of the nursing staff they get Anne Marie into her wheel chair. They walk around the hospital ending up by the front window where the two of them sit in the sun holding hands. This is a true story of love.

How many of us truly love our spouse like he did? Some of us go to far and cheating their life time partner just for a temporary fun with other women or men. If you could love someone this much, you will never regret after they left to afterlife.

My dear hubby, I will love you forever. Do not be afraid of what people said to us. As long as we trust each other and love heartily, we will be together for the rest of my life. I wish and truly hope we will never separated. Love you honey, now and forever!
